Are guinea pigs a good pet?

Guinea pigs make fantastic pets! Don’t listen to anyone who says they are boring, it doesn’t even take an animal lover to see that they have extremely sweet personalities! They are well known for not biting (unlike hamsters and other rodents) They are sturdy and soft and easy to hold. You will get hours of enjoyment from watching them go about their daily lives – they’re so cute! When handled well they get to know you. When mine are inside during winter they become especially tame and squeak when I come near and they lean out the cage door looking for food! If you do get a guinea pig, you have to get at least two because they hate being on their own. They wouldn’t fend for thermselves very well for more than a couple of days because they need regular feeding and their cage needs cleaned out at least once a week, but as long as there’d be someone to look after them they would be fine. I really hope you get them!
