How to Roast Chestnuts
To roast chestnuts, you start by cutting an “x” in the flat side of the nut, all the way through to the meat. Put the nuts in a shallow roasting pan in a 425 degree oven for about 30-40 min. Be sure to shake the nuts every 10 min or so to prevent scorching. Start to peel them as soon as you can handle them as they are very hard to peel when cool.
