How to Make a Dreidel
The dreidel game is a popular pastime of Hanukkah. A dreidel has a stick at the top, extending from a body shaped like a cube on top of an upside down cone. Longer lasting dreidels are made of clay. First, you press the clay into a cube and cone mold and remove the clay before it dries. Insert a dowel into the cube, then place the cone upside down on the other side. Once the clay has dried, on the four outside faces of the cube, paint the Hebrew letters – Nun, Gimmel, Hay, and Shin. When the paint dries, you can play the game.
