What are Bangles?
Bangles, or bangle bracelets, as they are sometimes called, are similar to bracelets but are made without closures. Bangles are made from a variety of materials like gold, silver, glass, stones, and shells, to name a few. These days, when we think of bangles, we usually picture colorful, chunky bracelets that are worn in a minimal style on otherwise bare arms. The wearing of bangles is significant of prosperity and longevity in many countries like China, and as symbols of peace in parts of Africa. Additionally in other cultures, and specifically in India, bangles are worn for adornment as well as a symbol of well-being.
