I have got approval of INS for 2006 Quota but some body told me I cant apply in consulate till October 2006 ? Please tell me if we have to start work in October 2006 why will we apply in October ?
Ideally you can apply for stamping in the first week of October so that you can travel to the US immediately after stamping. We understand that you will be able to book your appointments atleast 6 months in advance. Please check with the relevant US Consulate website to find when you can make booking for your stamping. This means that you can start working only from 1st October, 2006. I have a B.E in computer science from Bangalore University, India. I have an L1 Visa valid till Oct 2008 from Company A and I am working in the US for the last 6 months. Recently I got my H1 papers approved from Company B.I will be visiting India in the month of Jan 2007. I have to join Company B by first week of December 2006. These are my queries – Can I get my H1 B visa stamped in Canada/Mexico? If I have to get it stamped in India then is it possible through drop box facility from Bangalore? Can I get the visa stamped from consulates other than Chennai in India as I am residing in the US?
