An outdoor topiary can be a wonderful focal point in your garden and make your yard the envy of the neighborhood! Topiary made by trimming shrubs can be quite challenging to make, but with patience and persistance, the result is fantastic.To start the easiest way is to purchase a topiary form and put it over a small shrub to use as a guide for the proper trimming, and to help the shrub grow to the desired shape. Be patient, and after installing the form, trim only 3 inches of shrub length at a time to bring the shrub into correct shape, while waiting for the shrub to grow and fill in the bare spots in the form.
