Who is a compulsive liar?
A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and automatic way of responding to a question. They cannot speak the truth most of the time and they have to bend the truth whether large or small. It usually develops in early childhood. Maybe a child grows in an enviroment where lying is made necessary and routine. It may also stem from guilt, worry, doubt or low esteem. An individual may practisce compulsive lying if he/she senses that it helps to reduce conflicts, allows people to maintain their privacy and prevents unnecessary heartache and pain. This shows that compulsive liars are not pathalogical liars who do it due to purpose or on some cunning basis. They rather simply lie out of habit that is hard to break.
