What is WARP?
WARP stands for Workshop for Art Research and Practice. There are two courses (worth 9 credits) that comprise WARP. ART 1802C (3 credits) is the lecture portion of WARP and it introduces the concepts, theories, and information for the development in the studio portion of the course. It is a forum for demonstrations, seminar activities, and visiting speakers. ART 1803C (6 credits) is the studio portion of WARP and it is team taught by interdisciplinary artists who focus in on a wide variety of media. In-depth exploration of creative processes, principles of artistic integrity, and the nature of artistic meaning are covered.
