What is Chroma Key?

Chroma Key, otherwise known as bluescreen or greenscreen, is a video and film technique for blending two images together by making either the blue or green background transparent so that another image can be seen behind it. This special effect is most commonly seen in tv weather reports: The presenter will be fimed in front of a large blue or green screen, which will then be replaced with a graphic of the weather map. At digiwiz, we have our own mobile green screen which we use mostly when filming web video for our clients. By the way, blue or green screens are used because there aren’t a lot of blue or green tones in human skin; In fact, any colour backdrop could be used.
