What are Adobe Acrobat PDF files?
PDF stands for Portable Document Format. This type of file is used widely on the web because it is relatively small and easy to share across different computer platforms. The software required to read PDFs is available free online. It’s called Acrobat Reader and you download it from Adobe. When clicking on links to Acrobat PDF files, your browser may open the document in a new browser window, or ask you whether you wish to view or save the document. This behaviour depends on your particular browser and its settings. If you wish to document the link instead of opening it in a window, right-click (PC) or click and hold (Mac) the link and choose ‘Save Target as ..’ or ‘Save link as ..’.
