MAME means Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. If used with the files that has all game features (ROM), it will reproduce, more or less perfectly, that game in your PC. Now Mame can emulate more than 1500 old games. Mame roms are chips images of the original games. Mame is the “hardware” for these games and it substitutes their original CPU and chips. These games are not simulations but the real original ones, Mame purpose is to avoid that they can be forgot.
