The Darkness is the term given to the revolution of TFPs. It was masterminded by a former Vestis Inquisita who programmed a logic loop into the TFPs on Brishan in the D’rakan Empire. It stated that TFPs were free thinking creatures. The Vestis is now part of a group of “Sentinels” who control the Darkness. The affected synths have reason to believe that they are indeed sentient creatures, and therefore do not pay heed to the commands of their “masters.
