What will the L2 & P1 car tests look for?
The L2 test will test your ability to undertake basic car handling skills like managing steering, braking and clutch (if applicable). In the L2 test the applicant will be directed to undertake certain manoeuvres by the testing officer. They will not be required to make decisions about where or when they need to do the manoeuvres. The P1 test will test your ability in hazard perception, judging your vehicles speed and the speed of other drivers as well as all other elements of driving. The P1 test will assess your ability to link a number of driving tasks together to complete an exercise. The P1 test applicant will be required to make decisions about where and when they do the required manoeuvres.
