How loud is the fan box?
Since the fan box is designed to suck air in, it is relatively quiet. On the low speed you can hardly hear it and on the highest speed it is not overbearing at all. We did an audible test on the blower box. In a quiet room, motor on high, with the tester directly in front of the louver grill, we measured 80 to 82.5 db’s. At 3 feet away we measured 51 to 53 db’s. At 8 feet away it was less than 40 db’s. The measuring device did not read below 40 db’s. When we tested the motor on low speed, exactly same format, directly in front of louver grill was 49 to 53 db’s and at 3 feet it was below 40 db’s.
