What is Goji?
There are many varieties of the Goji plant (Lycium Barbarum) growing in different parts of the world. It has been claimed that there are over 40 species in Tibet alone. The Goji plant produces berries valued for there natural medicinal properties but each variety has its own distinctive appearance, color, taste and each may differ from the others in medicinal power depending on various growing variables such as the availability or lack of trace minerals in the soil, climate, precipitation and so on. Goji berries are sometimes called wolfberries but the wolfberry is actually a substandard Goji plant. They also have the high level of vitamins but their taste is more bitter then that of Goji.
