Is it true that Reverse Osmosis units waste a lot of water?

0

Al brands of Reverse Osmosis units “waste” some water. With some systems it takes as much as 10 gallons of water to produce one gallon. Our systems are much better than that, but please understand, no matter what brand, there will be a significant amount of “waste” water. To a certain extent this “waste water” can be minimized in larger size systems, by raising the water pressure supplied to the membrane. It is possible to reduce the waste water in a high-pressure unit to 50%.
