Yes, Kick-off! can be connected to a USB hub, or a USB keyboard, and it will still be able to detect and respond to system crashes. To complete its restart procedure on Macs, Kick-off! also sends the USB “Power On” signal. Most USB hubs cannot pass the USB Power On signal along to the Mac; however, you can ensure the Mac will start itself by setting the “restart automatically after power failure” feature in the Energy Saver Control Panel.
