Does ALS affect the mind?
There are many mixed opinions on this subject. Especially in current discussions. It is now known that some ALS patients do experience dementia, but it is unknown whether ALS was the cause of the dementia. Past ALS literature describes the mind as being “completely unaffected.” Many current ALS specialists are starting to take a much closer look at this statement. Many are reconsidering.
