What prompts the use of Rescue 7?
Commonly known as Rescue 7 for the Mississippi Highway Patrol District in which it operates, the Agusta A119 helicopter provides emergancy medical services coverage in 10 primary counties: Covington, Forrest, Greene, Jefferson Davis, Lamar, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Stone and Walthall. Both on-site rescue and service and inter-hospital transport occur routinely. The helicopter also flies for rural on-scene flights at the requests of other EMS providers, law enforcement agencies and citizens in crisis.
