MASC is an acronym for the Mid Atlantic Safety Council. MASC was formed in November of 2003 for contractors working in the North and South Carolina region. One goal of the council is to offer a basic safety awareness orientation to contractors in an effort to develop a safer workforce. In addition to improving the safety emphasis, this program also reduces duplication of orientations that contractors receive at different sites in the area, saving time and resources for both contractors and the contracting business.
