While XFree86 does not, at the time of writing, natively support TrueType fonts, there is a number of third party solutions. Some information about these options is included below. The XFree86 project is not responsible for any of these; please send any inquiries about them to relevant newsgroups or, eventually, to their authors. XFree86 is planning to include native support for TrueType fonts in its next major release.
