What can AATSR data be used for?

AATSR primarily measures SST to the high levels of accuracy and precision required for monitoring and detecting climate change. Together with its predecessors, ATSR-1 and ATSR-2, AATSR will establish a unique SST data set spanning at least 15 years, supporting oceanographic and climate research. AATSR data can also be used for a number of land surface, cryosphere and atmospheric applications.
