For 3D graphics, Getica uses OpenGL 1.4. The 3D sound environment is created using OpenAL, and the sound files are encoded using Ogg/Vorbis. Besides these APIs, Getica also uses a series of open source libraries: FreeType, LibPNG, LibJPEG and the Lua scripting language.
