I bought one of Ripley’s filter conversions four years ago (mine is made of metal) for $265.00. Maybe that seems high but when you consider the price of the “not so correct short original type, that are now discontinued” and the limited one time use they give, I think the conversions are down right cheap. And are more correct looking. A small price to pay for protecting that magnificent machine. They allow you to change the filter more often without worrying about diminishing that precious supply of “original types” and wondering where your next one is coming from. Just another mans opinion. Bill ANSWER: OIL FILTER Bill – I agree with your angle completely and will surely use Ripley’s filter now that the 1035’s are all but gone. They were relatively cheap at less than $30 and I am not afraid
