How easy are the boats to reef?

All boats in the range have a simple to operate traditional slab reefing system for the mainsail. On the Norfolk Gypsy and Norfolk Smuggler the slab reefing lines are led along the boom so that they can be operated from within the cockpit. On the Norfolk Trader 45 and Norfolk Trader 65 the slab reefing system for the mainsail is operated with a winch and Spinlock cleats fitted to the side of the boom. The Norfolk Gypsy and Norfolk Smuggler are fitted with roller reefing spars for the jib (Norfolk Gypsy) and staysail (Norfolk Smuggler) to enable these sails to be reefed from the cockpit.
