Whats a CLIA card?
CLIA is the Cruise Line International Association, the primary association for cruise lines, agents, and passengers. They offer a photo ID card to members that can be used for industry identification (so you can get into seminars and industry tours) and discounts on travel (with all of the cruise lines, several hotels, some airlines, car rental companies, and tour companies). It’s becoming more widely accepted in the industry however it’s not the primary form of ID. The ultimate ID card to have is the IATAN – however, you need to earn $5000 in commissions before you can get it (IATAN’s rules, not ours). In the meantime, the next best thing is CLIA.
