What does the HMIS cost to use?
For the length of the project, any Missouri provider of emergency, transitional, or permanent shelter services is eligible to participate without charge in the HMIS under a federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant. The HUD grant covers the cost of software licensing, training and technical support. Each agency must provide its own computer and internet connection in order to use the HMIS. Agencies not covered by the grant would pay for software licensing and pay a user fee. For an agency with one user, this is approximately $300 per year.
