Where did Sherlock go?
Sherlock is not supported in Leopard. (Tiger’s Sherlock won’t even launch.) Many of Sherlock’s functions can be replaced with Dashboard widgets. History: Sherlock’s Internet functions were conceptually borrowed from an existing application called Watson. However, after Apple released Sherlock, its developers saw demand for their product dry up, so they sold it to Sun (which, after some initial development work, hasn’t gone so far as to release a new version). You can still download Watson, but most of its functions are broken because the web sites they referenced have changed in the years since it was discontinued.
