What is a P60 form?

0

The P60 summarises the amount you have earned over the tax year as well as the amount of tax and National Insurance contributions that have been taken off your wages. You’ll also need it (along with your P45) to claim a tax refund, so please keep it somewhere safe. However you will only get a P60 if you are still employed on 5 April (the end of the tax year), in which case your employer should give it to you by 31 May. You will get a P60 for each employer you are still working for on 5 April. If you have stopped your job before 5 April then you should only be given a P45. Your employer should give a P45 to you when you end your job, so ask for one if they don’t.
