The number of stories is a function of the diameter and height of the dome. Heights of stories are the same as for stick built buildings. For example a 30 foot diameter dome 30 ft. high could accommodate 3 stories. Because our domes are built of wood, residential domes are subjected to the same Fire Code regulations as stick built buildings. In Canada the maximum height is 4 stories for such a building. For non-residential buildings we can go higher than 4 stories.
