Geocoin icons are small images that represent a coin on the trackables page of your Geocaching.com account. Originally there were only two types of Geocoin icons. The first was a generic coin shape with the cent sign on it. The second was an image of the Moun10Bike coin. This was created as a gift to Moun10bike for his help and assistance he gave Groundspeak as they started the Geocaching.com website. As Geocoins became popular, Groundspeak added the ability to give icons to other coins, and the icon collecting explosion began.
