What causes a volcano to erupt?

0

All Volcanoes are located where oceanic &continental plates meet.As these plates float on the molten rock of the earth’s interior, they collide with one another, releasing huge amount of energy. The rocks of the lower plate melt in the Earth’s hot interior, creating even more magma. This magma, which is thoroughly mixed with gases, accumulates until the pressure becomes so great that it erupts in the form of a volcano through fissures in the earth’s surface.
