Who invented telegraph?
The telegraph was invented by Samuel Morse in 1835. He improved upon the ideas of several other early inventors and developed a code of dashes and dots, known as Morse Code, that could be embossed on paper tape and then translated into written words. The first actual telegram line was constructed from Baltimore to Washington, D.C. in 1844. To find more information click here: http://inventors.about.com/od/tstartinventions/a/telegraph.
