Can I access the Kaleidescape Web Utility remotely?
The most secure way to gain remote access to the Web Utility of your Kaleidescape System is to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN). With a VPN, a remote user, once authenticated, will effectively become part of the local network, with any data sent across the Internet encrypted for security. Any components that are part of your Kaleidescape System will be directly accessible to the remote user via their IP address. In general, we do not recommend enabling port forwarding on your router to access the Kaleidescape Web Utility. When port forwarding is disabled, your router protects devices inside your network by blocking any attempt to access your network from the outside Internet.
