Are finished basements the norm in Denver?

My house in Hampden Heights (SE Denver) had a finished basement (carpeted, insulated) with a full bar plus an extra bedroom, an extra room large enough to fit a pool table (we used it for beer pong), and an unfinished laundry area. I know other houses in our neighborhood were very similar. Try looking around Hampden Heights, Kennedy, Tamarac Square, Greenwood Village, etc.
