Are smoothies really healthy?
I would guess that your “Tall” glasses are probably around 200 calories each, given what you mentioned for contents. The stuff you put in them is all good stuff and will not hurt you at all. Depending on what you eat for dinner, and how much, it sounds like you’re certainly not eating too much. You should, however, not forget that you need a certain amount of exercise to remain healthy, not just a good diet. As far as losing weight goes, the only proven method to lose weight is to burn more calories then you ingest. Just being alive burns about 500 to 1000 calories a day, depending on body size and type. Throw in stuff like your normal daily activities and you are burning about as many calories as you consume on a daily basis. Doing some exercise or getting involved in sports will help you get in shape, but don’t be put off if you gain some weight in the beginning. Remember, muscle weighs more then fat. If you burn off some fat and replace it with muscle (which looks infinetely better)
I think it is good for you however I think you should have something else for lunch, a smoothie is a great breakfast because you can get some of you 5 a day in without eating sugary cereals. For lunch you could try eating pasta or a salad because you do need a certain amount of carbohydrate etc and just having smoothies is not going to provide you with that.
