How to treat a quadriceps injury!?
The quick shot answer is ice. Use it for fifteen to twenty minutes per hour. This will decrease the pain and stop the swelling. Never use heat on any injury to the biceps or quadriceps for it could cause an internal bleed. That bleed could potentially cause a calcium deposit in the area. So for the moment use ice. I would suggest that if your school has a trainer see that person for treatment. If they don’t then see a physical therapist as soon as possible. Keep the knee moving and don’t let it get stiff. You are going to have to do some very light lifting to regain strength as soon as the pain stops. See someone as soon as possible to prevent further injury.
