Who does drug laws/policy targets?
Drug policies put in place during the Reagan administration clearly target African Americans. You get a minimum 5 year sentence for 5 grams of crack. You need 500 grams of cocaine to get the same sentence. Tho only difference between crack and cocaine is that crack is cheaper. Since crack is cheaper and black people overall are poorer than white people black people do and sell more crack than white people. This is more than just coincidental.
