Why a Maserati?
WB: The story of how I met this car is really kind of strange I had no interest whatsoever in Maserati. I had seen one drive up and down the street from time to time. It was a nice looking two-door, not really a car that caught my eye in any particular way. But we got a postcard inviting us to the unveiling of this new Maserati Quattroporte at the Santa Monica airport, so I looked up the car online and saw a picture of it, and thought, wow, that’s a good looking car. So we went. And the executive from Maserati pulled back the silk curtain, and I turned to the salesman from Auto Gallery and said: “I’ll take it”. So why Maserati? It wasn’t Maserati until I saw the car, until that car sort of took over me. MM: What are your favorite things about the Quattroporte? WB: The song it’s just an exquisite sound when either you’re pulling out from a stop or passing on a highway. The acceleration is just phenomenal; the cornering is amazing.
