What trees will be pruned?
Contract crews used by KUB are trained to prune only those trees that pose a hazard to transmission and distribution electric lines. Crews consider the tree’s health as they maintain the necessary electric line clearance (at least 10 feet for distribution and 25 feet for transmission lines). Trees over the service lines-the lines running from the customer’s house to the transformer-are the homeowner’s responsibility.
