What is the certifying process?
When you file an international application the Office of Origin (IP Australia) must check that the details on the basic trade mark accord with the details on the international application form before sending it to the IB. For example; the owners must be the same, the trade marks identical, the goods and/or services must be covered by the basic trade mark/s, and any other written descriptions must be the same. Certification does not mean that the details are correct, simply that they are the same.
