Can the boats be sailed single-handed?

We can also provide an alternative position for the mast (further forward) to enable the boat to be sailed with mainsail only (cat rigged) if the boat is required to be sailed single-handed often. Norfolk Oyster: It is easy to sail the Norfolk Oyster single-handed and the jib sheet leads and cleats are angled to enable the helmsman to operate them from the normal helming position. We can also provide a tiller extension if required. The centreboard can be operated by the helmsman (a one-handed operation). Bearing in mind the considerable stability of the boat she is ideal for single-handed sailing in all but heavy weather conditions.
