Is it better than Winamp?
The graphic design is light years ahead. There are less skins (at the moment), but there is an user programme that you can utilise to design your own particular brainstorm, and submit it if you wish, while the visual mode that threatens you with long hours of veg-out in front of your monitor is without peer. Music Search facility is excellent (heh heh! What a surprise. Lycos, you little sneak you. I know you’re listening). Sound quality is as good as anything else out there, and better than some. It even has a 20 channel Graphic Equaliser that works – are you paying attention Nullsoft? Although some users complain about tracks skipping or being ignored, I’ve never experienced this. The programme has proven to be very stable on my particular PC, and superior to Winamp during multi-tasking operations.
