What percentage of North Central pre-meds get into medical school?

0

Among North Central students who apply to medical school, the acceptance rate is well above 90% within two years of graduation. Acceptance rates for other allied-health professional schools are similarly high. Some schools give a percentage of entering students who are accepted to medical school. We don’t think that number is meaningful, because many pre-med students change their minds before graduation, and some students become interested in medicine later. So, we only look at students who actually go through the application process. We also think it’s important to look at acceptance within two years of graduation: because medical school admissions are so competitive, students who are not accepted as college seniors often spend a year doing research or getting a master’s degree in a related field and are accepted when they re-apply.
