Who interrupted taylor swift?
On Sunday, September 13, 2009, the annual VMA awards were being held at 9:00 PM ET. The award for best female music video was between Beyonce or Taylor Swift. Taylor swift was shocked when her name was announced as the winner, for everybody thought that Beyonce would win. Meanwhie, while all this was going on, Kanye West was sitting in the audience drinking his Herressie. After a few seconds of Taylor’s acceptance speech, Kanye just jumped up on stage and stole the microphone from Taylor and said that Beyonce should have won instead. Some say he did it because he is close with Jay-Z, and Jay-Z is married to Beyonce, or was atleast dating her at the time. Kanye’s exact words were “Yo Taylor… Im really happy for you, and ima letchu finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. ONE OF THE BEST VIDEOS OF ALL TIME.” Of course Taylor was just devistated. Even though Kanye said he would work on his ego after the South Park Episode, he still doesnt seem to show it or even care.
