What lives in the Boreal Forest?
This enormous habitat is filled with plants and animals that can withstand long severe winters and short warm summers. Most trees are needle leafed, evergreen trees (like Christmas trees) such as spruce, fir, and pine. Some of the animals that live in the Boreal Forest include caribou, lynx, black bear, moose, coyote, timber wolf, beaver and bald eagles. Also, over 200 different bird species make the boreal their home.
