How should I take Marinol?
Take Marinol exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label. As an appetite stimulant, Marinol is usually taken before lunch and dinner. To prevent nausea and vomiting, Marinol is usually given 1 to 3 hours before you receive your chemotherapy treatment, and every 2 to 4 hours afterward. Follow your doctor’s instructions. Store Marinol at cool room temperature. You may store the medicine in the refrigerator, but do not allow it to freeze.
