Is Arabella Drumand a real pirate?
Arabella Drummond appears in listings of pirates from Blackbeard’s time period. Some stories have her as a lost lover of Blackbeard, sailing the seven seas in search of him. Others say that she was the first, and regrettably last, female pirate captain of an all male crew. There is strong evidence towards her being captain of an all male crew. I, personally , believe that she was a strong, indapendent woman, more than capable of commanding a crew consisting of males.
