What is instantG.coms 6-hour METAR Trend for Aviation Weather?
The 6-hour METAR Trend is a Copyright, 2002 of instantG.com and Seattle Software Works, Inc. instantG.com tracks both the current and recent METARs for each IACO weather-reporting (WX) station. For each WX station, we compare the latest METAR to any METARs for the previous six (6) hours. We then produce a trend analysis for six key components of the METAR: Wind Visibility Cloud Layer (lowest) Barometric Pressure Temperature Dewpoint The trend analysis for these six components is presented in a unique and easy-to-interpret summary along with the latest coded METAR for the IACO WX station. Each component is represented by its first letter, and then a symbol indicating increasing (+), decreasing (-), or unchanged (u). For example, the instantG.com 6-hour METAR Trend might appear as W+ V- C- B- Tu Du. This trend analysis indicates that Wind is increasing (W+), Visibility is decreasing (V-), Cloud Layer is decreasing (C-), Barometric Pressure is decreasing (B-), Temperature is unchanged, an
