Are savage arms rifles any good?

0

They are excellent, if ugly, There are factory Savage centerfires (Model 10 and Model 110) that are shooting as good as custom target rifles. The Accu trigger is excellent, as it allows a light trigger pull, which is conducive to accurate shooting, while not compromising safety. Power is a function of cartridge, not rifle. The best factory ammo in any rifle is the premium lines from almost any reputable manufacturer, I always start out with Federal Gold Medal Match and work my way up with handloads. But Black Hills Match and Remington’s target line are equally as good. If your Savage centerfire does not shoot well under 1 m.o.a. (1 inch at 100 yards), have a gunsmith or some other Savage-smart shooter set the barrel to provide minimum chamber specification with a headspace gage. It takes about 3 minutes with the proper wrenches and usually makes the rifle super accurate.
